Contrast(2)

This photo is another good example of contrast because the blue of the sign really stands out against the pale background.

Contrast

This is my example of contrast. I chose the number 1 on the track because it pops against the maroon asphalt. I also liked the photo since I run track and I spend everyday on the track but never really noticed the contrast.

Hurrican Sandy (professional)

I feel as if this professional photo really shows the trauma from hurricane Sandy. The women on the floor are crying for what they lost in the storm and you can see the objects in the back that obviously do not belong there.

Hurricane Sandy (what inspired me)

This photo inspires me because I run track and it shows how the people who were supposed to run the marathon came and instead donated their time to help clean up the destruction from Hurricane Sandy.

Framing

This photo was not so effective in framing because the subjects are not framed by the tunnel entrance like I originally planned. Also there are other people who got in the shot and I think it ruined the effect.

Rule of thirds

This photo follows the rule of thirds because the subject, being the girl on the floor, is in the bottom square if you were to divide the photo into 9 smaller square parts.

Portrait mode

This photo is an efficient use of the portrait setting because the  the subject is the main focus and the background has no distractions since it is solid.

Portrait mode (2)

This portrait photo is effective because of the depth the hallway creates.

My favorite photo

This is my favorite photo because I love the way the clouds look.

Very first photo

I like this photo because of the focus. I like how the building and the grass isn't very focused on.
